How it all started...
Believe it or not, Response to Grace started as a band that was founded by Anthony Diaz & Pastor Jose Gonzalez Jr. Check our early YouTube days, and you'll see we kicked things off with music covers. It wasn't until later that it became a church. We were a group of about ten couples who'd been doing the traditional church thing. Nothing against it, but we felt restricted in pursuing what we were passionate about and reaching the people we felt called to serve — the "unchurched," the overlooked, those who just needed God, no matter who they were or what they looked like.

Expanding the dream...
We met at Pastor Jose's place with no money, just a vision and God in our hearts. We prayed, dreamed, and then, out of nowhere, Dr. Darryl Johnson heard about us and let us use his school to meet for our services. We needed a name, and that's when we realized that Response to Grace wasn't just a band; it was our DNA, defining who we are at our core.
Where we are headed...
Everyone has a response. Our response to grace shapes who we are and where we’re going. We’re not just attending services; we’re stepping into a movement—a community that breaks beyond the four walls of a building and welcomes everyone just as they are. We’re not just a congregation; we’re a family—a dynamic body that embraces the energy of youth and the wisdom of experience. Our mission is bigger than Saturdays—we seek to be the heartbeat of the community, living out grace in action every day.
