Take the Next Step:

Your Faith. Your Commitment. Your New Beginning.

At Response to Grace Church, we believe baptism is a powerful moment of identifying with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection—signifying new life in Him. If you're ready to take this step or want to learn more, we’d love to walk with you on this journey.

What is Baptism?

A Declaration of Faith and New Life

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation. It’s a declaration of your faith in Jesus and a step of obedience in your spiritual journey. Jesus commanded baptism as a vital part of following Him, and through it, we receive the Holy Spirit, empowering us to live out our faith. Baptism marks the beginning of your journey and a choice to do life with Jesus. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38)

Baptism by Submersion

Immersed in Christ's Death and Resurrection

We practice baptism by submersion, following the example set in Scripture. Submersion symbolizes being fully immersed in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Just as Jesus was buried and raised from the dead, baptism by submersion represents the believer’s death to their old life and the new life they receive through Christ. It is a powerful, visual declaration of the transformation that takes place when we choose to follow Jesus. (Romans 6:4, Matthew 3:16)

Baptism for Kids

Supporting Kids in Their Faith Decision

We believe in Jesus’ words, “Let the little children come to me” (Matthew 19:14), and we encourage children to pursue Christ with full support and guidance. We believe children can choose to follow Christ, and we fully support them in that decision. During altar calls, children are welcome to respond to Jesus’ call. However, we require parental or guardian authorization for their baptism and offer an ABCD Class to ensure they understand the commitment they are making.
